Create A Themed Beauty Salon That Will Get Everyone Talking

The best form of marketing for your business is word of mouth. If you have treated a customer really well, gone above and beyond with levels of service and if your premises is welcoming, looks the part and stands out from the crowd, you can guarantee that everyone who visits you will be talking about it and recommending you to their friends and family.

When it comes to increasing footfall in your beauty salon, there is some stiff competition out there, so you are going to need to get creative and that’s why we’re here to help. Because we think changing the look every couple of months with a themed approach could be exactly what you need to get everyone talking about your beauty salon.

Create A Neutral Base

It’s always best to have a blank canvas when it comes to planning themes. Choose neutral tones for the interior of your beauty salon to make the space light and airy and this will create the perfect base for you to get more experimental with your themed accessories. You can learn more about this in the categories below. Simple white walls, light wooden floors, and good lighting will help to make your beauty space feel welcoming.

Film Night

Why not organise a film night once a fortnight where your customers can come along and be pampered while watching their favourite films. Lay out the red carpet, hang movie memorabilia and pictures of famous film stars and movie stills on the walls, hire a popcorn machine, and theme the beauty treatments you have on offer that evening for example: the Marilyn Monroe Manicure, the Penelope Cruz Pedicure, and the Farah Fawcett Facial.

Ideas for props could include:

  • Bows and Arrows – Hunger Games and Robin Hood vibes (this website should be able to help with this)
  • Watermelon – Dirty Dancing (no one puts Baby in the corner)
  • Wands, Potions, and Broomsticks – Harry Potter (you’re a wizard Harry)

Fright Night

Why let the kids have all the fun at Halloween, us adults love it too, so how about holding your very own Halloween fright night with a focus on scary make up tutorials. Dim the lights, decorate the walls with fake cobwebs and do not enter signs and play spooky music. If you know your guest list in advance you could ask them to wear fancy dress, with a prize for the best costume – it could be a voucher for use at your beauty salon, or a selection of products.

If you and your staff don’t have quite the right technical skills for stage make up, you could always hire someone to do that while the rest of you offer gothic manicures and pedicures.

Beachy vibes

Everyone loves being pampered in the summer to make sure they’re beach ready for their holidays, so why not bring the beach to them before they go, with a beach themed event in your beauty salon.

Order in some sand to spread across the floor (don’t worry, if you’ve taken our advice earlier about the wooden floors this will be easy enough to clear up after), offer fake tan sessions and neon manicures, and don’t forget the cocktails. Accessorize with inflatable palm trees, flower garlands and plenty of flamingos and pineapples.

There are so many simple ways you can theme your beauty salon to be the talk of the town and to bring in more customers than you’ve ever had before. Before you know it, you’ll be expanding your business (you might want to check out Millenniumgeospatial.com for how to cope with some of the technical issues you might face moving forwards – always good to be prepared), opening up even more beauty salons and creating a unique beauty brand that’s got everyone talking.
