Drink Your Coffee The Keto Way With Sprout & Blossom Creamer

You fancy trying out this whole Keto thing that everyone’s talking about, but you also love (and let’s be honest can’t function in the morning without it) a good cup of coffee. You could try ditching the milk of course, but black coffee really ain’t your bag, so what other choice have you got?

Well fortunately for you, we’ve just been introduced to the Keto friendly Sprout & Blossom Creamer and we want to tell you all about it. Because no diet is worth giving up your morning cup of coffee for!

What Is Keto?

Before we get onto the Sprout & Blossom Creamer, let’s take a quick look at what the Keto diet actually is. So basically, the Keto (or Ketogenic to give it its proper name) diet is one that has the main purpose of getting the body into a state known as ketosis. This metabolic state of ketosis is the point at which the body starts to use fat as its primary form of energy, rather than carbohydrates. As such, this means carbs are pretty much off the menu, along with lots of other food types. When people first start out on the Keto diet they can struggle with the seemingly restricted menu, however there are products out there, such as the Sprout & Blossom Creamer, that can help make the diet a lot easier to maintain.

The Ritual Of Coffee

So, the thing is with coffee, and if you’re a true coffee connoisseur you’ll totally get this, there’s something incredibly special about that first cup of the day. And part and parcel of that first cup of coffee is the ritual involved in making it. Now, Sprout & Blossom not only sell Keto creamer but they also sell coffee too (more on both in a mo) and they kindly sent me three bags of their coffee beans so that I could well and truly make my coffee ritual game strong.

For me it starts with the opening of the packet. That intense scent of coffee as the bag is ripped open and the aromas are released into the air. And not gonna lie, I’m a complete packaging bore, I love a good inventive bit of packaging, and the way these coffee bags opened with a satisfactory zip pull, well yeah it made this girl happy (it’s the little things!).

Sprout & Blossom’s Fair Trade Coffee is made from organic, pesticide-free, hand-picked, and small-batch roasted coffee beans, so they’ve got a lot of great things going on with them. It means when you’re grinding them, brewing them, drinking them, there’s no guilt. This is proper decent, ethical coffee.

The morning ritual of creating the perfect cup of coffee, that’s going to wake you up, make you feel amazing, and set you up for the day is something I am all for. Because really, it’s not just about a coffee that’s made good (although that helps for sure) ultimately, it’s about a cup of coffee that tastes good and is good for you too. Awesome Coffee made with all natural ingredients is a great way to also make you feel awesome.

Sprout and Blossom Creamer And Coffee

Let’s talk about this creamer then shall we. It was created by Sprout & Blossom founder, Dr. Forrest Sauer, who is an expert in health, wellness, and longevity, specializing in patients who have autoimmune conditions, such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Crohn’s, Celiac Disease etc. The reason he decided to create this product was that he knew the importance of consuming good, clean food for long term health, yet also recognised this shouldn’t be to the detriment of what it tastes like. If something tastes good then we as consumers are much more likely to continue using a product, and for someone who advocates healthy living and sees first hand the difference a good diet and nutrition can make, this was incredibly important to him.

Sprout & Blossom Mocha Madness Coffee Creamer is made from just a few simple and natural ingredients:

  • Organic Coconut Milk Powder – this gives it a yummy coconut taste
  • Organic Cocoa Powder – I mean hello, chocolate, I’m there!
  • Glutathione Powder – A naturally occurring protein containing 3 amino acids that help protect every part of the body from toxins and free radicals)
  • Natural Flavoring – In the form of cucumber and citrus extract, because Glutathione tastes vile and something is needed to disguise it – which I’m pleased to report it does!

As I mentioned, if you’re going Keto you can’t have milk in your coffee as it’s too high in carbs, so this creamer offers the perfect high fat alternative. It adds a delicious subtle creaminess to your coffee that means you don’t really miss the fact there’s no milk. And I’m not being funny, but when the coffee is as fine as this, who needs milk anyway!?!

Here’s the thing though, yes this is a Keto friendly creamer, but do you know what, using this creamer isn’t all about some diet, it’s about looking after your health on a continual, daily basis. And knowing that the addition of a creamer such as this in your brew can help to decrease inflammation and stop the progression of autoimmune conditions, I mean that’s pretty darned impressive.

I’m going to give you some top advice when you use the creamer, because if truth be told it’s not the easiest to stir in. And actually, there’s a good reason for this – it doesn’t contain anti-caking agents which would help stop it clumping together but would also then add a non-natural ingredient into the mix, which clearly isn’t going to happen. Equally however, you don’t want a lumpy coffee. So, here’s what you’ve got to do. Firstly, give the bag a little squeeze (therapeutic in itself) as this helps breaks up any smalls lumps that may have formed inside. Then make sure you add your tablespoon of creamer before pouring in the coffee. I tried it both ways – putting the creamer in before and after the coffee had been poured – and found that by adding it first and then slowly pouring the coffee over it and continually stirring, you get a much smoother result. If you feel so inclined, you could also go all out and use a little whisk which adds a few delightful bubbles to your coffee – never a bad thing in my opinion.

In terms of the coffee, you’ve got three choices, depending on how strong you like it:

  1. Sunrise Light Roast – This is a much lighter choice, but don’t let that fool you as this is proper high caffeine coffee and perfect for getting you up and at ’em in the morning.
  2. Elevate Medium Roast – A good all-rounder. Smooth, nutty and a bit like Goldilocks… not too bitter, not too weak. Just right.
  3. Vienna Dark Roast – This is for those of you that like your coffee strong, bold, and with a massive kick. This Arabica bean coffee is rich, dark, and full bodied. It packs a punch.

Each type of coffee is available as either whole beans or already ground and can be bought in 12oz. or 2lb. bags. Personally, I would recommend starting off with a 12 oz. bag of medium roast and a bag of the Coffee Creamer and seeing how you get on with it. You may later decide you want something stronger, or lighter, but this is the perfect combo to try first.

Listen, if good quality coffee’s your thing, this is for you. If you’re looking for a healthier alternative to milk in your coffee, this is for you. If you want to give Keto a go but can’t face giving up your milky coffee, this is most definitely for you. Sprout & Blossom Creamer and Coffee is a winner in my eyes, so excuse me a moment as there’s a cup of coffee over there with my name on it!
