My Teenage Diary Series – 4th July 1995

Dear Teenage Diary,

I had my hair coloured for free. It’s kind of got red streaks running through it and the two front sections are completely (but subtly) red. It’s totally gorge. Kenneth phoned me up at about 4.30pm which I was really happy about because I was beginning to doubt whether he would actually come into contact with me again. And it’s also official, we are now going out with one another – boyfriend and girlfriend. God is he a babe!

We were on the phone for about half an hour, him just generally telling me about his money problems, but I didn’t care because I just love listening to the sound of his voice. I also found out that he used to go out with Saira Weston, which kind of puts a downer on him, but then we all do stupid things. I’m meeting him tomorrow at 7pm outside The Queens Head. I can’t wait to see him again because ever since I got off with him I just haven’t been able to get him out of my head. I can feel myself heading head over heels for him, but I don’t know whether that’s completely a good thing because I know when we split up (I know it’s early to start thinking about that) he’ll be the one to dump me and I know that I’ll be really hurt. I get the feeling that he’s gonna be the one I lose it to. I don’t know him that well, but it just feels so right.

Denise phoned about 6pm just to see how I was and we had a talk for about 20 minutes. She’s still the same person, totally mental and nutty. I am so happy at the moment.

*All names have been changed from those in my monthly teenage diary to protect the not so innocent.

Remember to come back tomorrow for the next installment of my 1995 teenage diary.
