Smoothie Bowls… that Instafamous beautiful bowl of goodness that puts the bog standard smoothie to shame. Sure, it’s a bit of a faff, and yeah of course no one has time to make such things of gorgeousness on a standard weekday morning, but it sure is a helluva treat for a weekend. I’m personally a sucker for pretty food, and if it’s healthy too then whoop di whoop I am one happy lady!
This smoothie bowl uses the frozen açai superfruit packs from Sambazon that I recently reviewed (you can read more here -> https://artofhealthyliving.com/sambazon-acai-review/) and as long as you follow the formula of add liquid of choice (plant based milk, coconut water, juice etc.) and fruit of choice (banana, berries etc.) then you can pretty much make whatever type of smoothie bowl you want.
This is my version 🙂
What’s In It?
- 2 Sambazon Pure Unsweetened Superfruit Packs
- 1 Banana
- 1ooml Coconut Milk
- 1 Handful of Frozen Raspberries
- 2 tsps Cacao Nibs
- 2 tsps Pistachio Butter (or your fave nut butter)
- Sprinkle of edible Rose Petals (to decorate)
How Do I Make It?
Take the Sambazon Superfruit packs out of the freezer and run under the tap for roughly 10 seconds, giving the bag a squish as you do to help break it into more blender friendly chunks. Cut off the top of the packs and squeeze the contents into your blender.
Add the banana and coconut milk to the blender and then blitz until smooth.
Pour into a beautiful bowl (coconut bowls are fab for this) and go decoration crazy with the toppings!
TOP TIP – When you put the toppings on, try to do it quite gently, otherwise you’ll end up with sinkers!
