Your Guide To Modafinil And Armodafinil Use

Okay, so I know you’re probably a bit scared and a little anxious about wanting to know more about this specific type of product, but hey, there’s a first time for everything. And it’s not like you’re going to be doing something that’s against the law.

Let me just get this out there:

Most nootropics are prescribed cognitive enhancer drugs. This means that doctors authorise patients to use them should they be a candidate for the prescription medicine. This also means that they are mostly legal.

So rest your heart, my dear friend. You’re not about to explore something that can warrant your arrest (read more). Just make sure you have a valid prescription before running to the nearest drugstore and buying these though! It’s best to show proof when it comes to purchases like these – not that they’re bad for you or anything but because people can be so darn judgemental. Like, come on guys, it’s 2019 and it’s about time we start minding our own business.

Anyway, Modafinil and its derivative Armodafinil, are just some of the many nootropic medicines we have in the market. The variety and vast availability of these drugs in the pharmaceutical industry can really tell us a lot about the state of our world. If we really try to dissect this information, we end up with the following conclusions:

  1. This is a very demanding world we live in.
  2. Work is becoming a little too overbearing.
  3. People are starting to live life like walking zombies.

That’s right. These conclusions may sound silly, but this is the kind of reality we have these days.

How can I draw these conclusions just from knowing that there are so many types of smart drugs in the market?

Well, that’s because they wouldn’t exist in the first place if the world is kind enough to let people breathe every once in a while. It’s because we have so much work to do in so little time that we seek comfort in chemical support and cram everything into a single day’s work.

I mean, how many of you have developed a dependency on caffeine? Like, your day practically doesn’t start until you’ve had one or two cups of espresso. I, for one, cannot live without my Venti latte every morning. It’s my gasoline for Pete’s sake! Oh and by the way, caffeine is categorically considered as a nootropic too, being a brain stimulant and all.

We live in a highly competitive world where everyone just wants to get ahead. Personally, I don’t think it’s all that bad. The challenge is there and it keeps you growing so I guess it’s kind of a “lose some, earn some” type of situation. I just thank my lucky stars that I don’t have to handle all these stressful situations by myself. I have my little pills to help me get through the day – and the thought of that gives me comfort, especially when it comes to my best bud Modafinil. You can check more information about it here:

I’m a solid Modafinil fan, you see. It hits the spot just right and it’s perfect to stack with coffee so I guess you can say that it’s my one true love in the world of nootropics. However, one question I always get from people whenever they find out I’m a user of the drug is whether Modafinil and Armodafinil are the same thing.

Well, long answer short, they are not the same but they are similar – identical even. Now, this may sound terribly confusing but let me just explain that in greater detail.

The Difference between the Two

Put your hands together like when you clap. They’re the same right? Same size, same shape and same finger heights – they’re identical in everything except for one thing:

Now, try putting your hands together but both have to face upwards (the palm pointing towards for face). Do they still fit each other?

Not anymore, right?

This is basically the difference between these two drugs. I’m not going to be all-out chemist today but just know that all chemical compounds work in a similar way. There are practically two versions of them, a right and left side.

Modafinil has both sides which we call enantiomers, by the way. So that’s (S)-(+)-modafinil. Armodafinil, on the other hand, only has one side or enantiomer so it’s called (R)-(−)Modafinil. See that it only has the negative but not the positive one.

In terms of effects and longevity, many account to the longer and faster effects of Armodafinil. I can attest to that too, being someone who has tried both. Choosing Modafinil over Armodafinil is a personal choice I had to make out of my own preferences. So it’s really just a matter of what works best for you. Whether you go with one or the other, it’s okay. They’re both great and I know that you’re going to love either one of them.
