LIFE UPDATE Ummmm so yeah, we did up a house, mad LIFE UPDATE Ummmm so yeah, we did up a house, made it proper lovely and modern and 100% to our taste and then we kinda moved 😬 So here I am this morning, my birthday morning no less (happy birthday me - whoop whoop 44 🎉) surrounded by boxes with the prospect of a day of unpacking a ridiculous amount of boxes and cleaning piss soaked carpets looming ahead. I mean, I can't think of a better way to celebrate, can you 😜 And as if that wasn't enough excitement, we're also picking up a second car today, cos life in the sticks is very different to the 'pop across the road to get milk' lifestyle that we've become accustomed to for the past 16 years. Well, they do say change is good for you. The dog's on holiday with his sitter for a few days and the daughter is in France on a school trip to Disney land Paris. Yeah I know, bit of an improvement on the Durdle door school trips of yesteryear ain't it!!!! She's already spent most of her Euros on a Stitch onesie and then messaged to say she'd left her bank card in her blazer at home 🙄 On the plus, at least it teaches her a valid life lesson and helps rein in her spendy ways 🤣 So yeah, lots going on, bit of a head mas tbh, but blinkin' exciting. I'm fine when the milk has only just hit it, but give it a couple of minutes and it starts to go mushy... nah not for me thank you kindly. But I tell ya what, shove it in a flapjack, whack it in a muffin, or pop it in a cheesecake base and oh my days that's when some serious #weetabix magic happens. I've been struggling with #motivation of late. If I've been struggling with #motivation of late. If we're looking for excuses then yeah... dark, rain, tired, ankle, house stuff, hormones, general procrastination. I mean we can all come up with the excuses right 🤷‍♀️ I'm finding myself more and more just fannying about. You know, just dithering, not really cracking on and getting shit done. Spending endless time #doomscrolling on socials, finger skin picking (I'm a bloody nightmare for this - a very bad habit!!), and mindlessly eating crap. And lo and behold eating crap is making me feel like crap. I'm feeling achy, stodgy, podgy, lazy, and even less motivated than I was in the first place. So today I'm taking action to break some of these bad habits I've picked up - like chocolate in the evenings. When you have it all the time it just gets a bit bloody boring doesn't it. And my god am I craving some fruits and veg today, I realised I had none yesterday. No wonder I feel like shit. Bye bye beige, you're doing me no favours! Soaking wet dog walk done ✔️ Strength workout done ✔️ Food plan for day done ✔️ Structured to do list done ✔️ Feeling better already 😊 Does anyone feel a bit stuck at the time of year?

Thank you by the way, always appreciated 🙏 I'm Bex. A 43 year old website publisher and mum of 2 (3 if you count the furry one). I love to run, ideally in the woods with my dog, and if there's mud and lots of puddles, bonus. I'm smack bang in the middle of my #perimenopause journey so you'll often find me having a whinge about that. I also love, love, love to travel - my top 5 places I've visited would be Iceland, Sicilly, Singapore, Mauritius, and the Scottish Highlands. Next trip booked is Tanzania and Zanzibar - can't wait! Currently in the middle of a house move, after having lived where we are now for 16 years. It's a bit scary, but totally feels like a life changing moment and I can't wait to take on this epic new project. I am fascinated by words, wildlife, ghosts, star signs, conspiracy theories, and reality TV - hey, everyone needs their guilty pleasures, right 🤷‍♀️ Bit of an overthinker, not much of a hugger, socially awkward, but would bend over backwards to help someone if they needed me. Sarcastic, says what I think - and if I don't, my face certainly does - bit sweary, introverted af, but likes to be included and invited to things. 7 piercings, no tattoos, 13 GCSEs, 3 A levels, 1 degree, 8 websites. Fave food - seafood risotto if I'm feeling posh, cheesy beans if I'm not. Fave drink - Aperol Spritz or Rhubarb gin with Ginger ale - don't ask me to pick, I can't. Fave song - 'Teardrop' Massive Attack. Box set I'm currently binging - The Walking Dead. And that's basically me. #thisisme
