3 Ways To Get Your Body Bikini Ready For Summer

Summer is a fabulous time of the year. The sun makes an appearance, and warmer days make us feel excited and positive about the months ahead. It’s a great time to spend with family and friends or go on a well-deserved holiday to get away from it all for a few weeks. But what if our minds are ready for the summer, yet our bodies aren’t quite there yet?

If you are desperate for summer to arrive, but feel like your body could do with a bit of an overhaul first – fear not. There are many things you can do to make your body bikini ready just in time for summer.

Healthy Eating

Whether you feel a bit bloated or think you would benefit from losing a few pounds, sticking to a healthy eating plan will help you feel more confident in your summer wardrobe. Reduce the number of carbs you consume by cutting out the likes of bread and pasta or switch to their wholewheat alternatives.

Similarly, abstaining from refined sugars can produce very quick results when it comes to weight loss. Drink lots of water and try to exercise a few times a week and you will feel far more confident about your body.

Get Rid Of Unwanted Hair

In colder months, you can probably get away with leaving your leg and underarm hair to grow, but when summer comes, the outfits you wear will probably be a bit more revealing. You will be more inclined to wear skirts and shorts or vest tops and summer dresses so, unless you are going for a completely natural look, freeing your body of hair is a good idea. This is particularly important if you intend to wear a bikini.

Whilst shaving is a quick and easy solution, it will need to be done every few days, which isn’t ideal. If you like the idea of a more permanent alternative, laser hair removal is a great choice. Lasers emit pulses of light energy into the skin, destroying the hair follicle so they can’t grow back. If this option is something that could be of interest, you can read more about it here.

Fake Tan

For many of us, having a bit of colour can make us feel more confident, so what better way to achieve this than with a fake tan. It’s not only quick and easy, but is far better for your skin than the sun’s harmful UV rays.

If you feel confident enough, there are lots of great fake tanning products you can apply at home or, if you prefer, you can visit a tanning salon and have a professional do it for you. It’s a good idea to exfoliate your skin a few times before your fake tan is applied and make sure your skin is well moisturised. This will minimise the risk of streaking, give your body a wonderful glow, and bring you one step closer to feeling great in a bikini.
