Neapolitan Smoothie Bowl

After a complete chocolate overload over Easter I thought it was about time I put back a massive injection of healthy food into my diet and try to redress the balance. The colours in this smoothie made me think of the Neapolitan ice cream I used to have as a child so I felt it was a fitting recipe name. The protein powder helps bulk it up and make it much more filling and it was just the right amount to get me powered up for the school run.

You can of course choose any topping you like to go on it, but the sour cherries and dark chocolate quinoa puffs compliment each other beautifully and really help add a touch of the sour to the sweetness of the smoothie itself.

What’s In It?

Smoothie

  • 200ml Coconut Milk
  • 1 tbsp Protein Powder
  • 1 Banana
  • Handful of Frozen Berries

Toppings

  • Banana Slices
  • Chia Seeds
  • Sour Cherries
  • Dark Chocolate Quinoa Puffs

How Do I Make It?

Blend all of the smoothie ingredients together until smooth and frothy, making sure the protein powder is completely mixed it – it doesn’t taste great if you suddenly get a lump of that in your mouth!

Pour into a bowl – I’ve just been given some gorgeous coconut bowls by my mum and dad that they got in Cambodia, then go crazy with the toppings!

So simple, so quick, so pretty and soooo filling.
