My Teenage Diary Series – March 20th 1995

Dear Teenage Diary,

Yesterday I went to the gym with Sheila because she had the bloody nerve to phone me up and ask for a lift. Anyway, I thought it would be better if she came and then I could give her a second chance. Noah was there with his mate Alex, which made me really nervous about approaching him. Eventually he came up to me and we just made conversation. At the end I told Sheila to go and have a word with him and then I’d meet her up there. She basically told him I was too shy to ask him out and he was too shy to ask me out. He said, “well yes”, so she said, “do you want me to do you a favour and ask her out for you?” he said, “yes” so she said, “well you’re now officially going out with her”, and he said, “yeah when she knows”. Sheila told me what he’d said and I was like oh my god what the fuck do I do or say now. We kind of made small talk, but I’m sure he got the impression I was ignoring him. I wasn’t.  I just didn’t know what to say. He said he’d phone me, I’m hoping tonight because then I can set it straight that I wasn’t ignoring him, just embarrassed. I also want to get it straight and see whether he just said because he didn’t know what else to say.

Came into school this morning and things were fine on the bus, then as soon as Sheila and Denise came into contact it was back to square one with them living out of each others pockets. I gave them a second chance and I refuse to put up with that kind of treatment any more. I’ve made myself officially no their friend any more. And I made myself perfectly clear by placing my bags next to me on the seat so that Sheila couldn’t sit there. I hope she’s suffering because I fucking am and it’s all those two whores fault. Hope they rot in HELL!
