Target take on the Physical Quizzical!

In the second part of our #cocotarget competition challenge, we welcome James Golden, Founder and Managing Director of Target Human Performance.

Can he handle it?

wonderwomanWonderwoman, Yoda, Incredible Hulk and Danger Mouse are all in a fight…who’d win and why?

“I would have to say Wonder woman, as I don’t know any men that can defeat a woman in a fight.”

If you could change one part of your body what would it be and why?

“I would have to change my legs, as they have always been skinny (sparrow-like) and I just hate training legs in the gym.”

Who’s on your ultimate tug-of-war team?

“The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), as you would feel very confident if he was on your team. Michael McIntyre, as he would make the opponents laugh and lose concentration. Lastly, David Beckham, as he is just a cool guy that I would like to meet.”

Give us your best health advice.

“Make time and not excuses. Oh, and do not skip breakfast! Your first meal of the day is highly effective in kick-starting metabolic rate.”

If you could create a new Olympic event what would it be and why?

“An over 65’s 100m event would be amazing and probably attract more interest than the main event itself!”

I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts…what are you going to do with them?

“Coconuts remind me of being holiday, so I would probably save them for a nice sunny day and invite our neighbours over for a coconut party!”

LasVegasIf you could open a fitness retreat anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

“It would have to be Las Vegas! It’s the total opposite to health and fitness, but dare to achieve. Only in Vegas!”

What is your greatest fitness achievement?

“I was diagnosed with a Melanoma Skin cancer in 2006 at a time when I was competing in a number of sporting events and had just broken into Triathlons at the time of diagnosis. Getting back to full fitness and being able to live life is without doubt my best achievement.”

Tell us about any trophies or medals you’ve won?

“My days of winning trophies and medals are now over. I won a series of football trophies growing up and also represented Hertfordshire county at Tennis in which I achieved a number of trophies through competition. The only medals I now win are through competing in the ‘Tough Guy’ events. I have a 5 year old daughter, who is now working with a Tennis coach, she will have to win them for me.”

What would be your final meal?

I am highly disciplined day to day and do practice what I preach in regards to clean eating, but I am human and I would have to say cheese burger and chips followed by two scoops of strawberry ice cream.”

judelawIf your life story was made into a film who would play you and why?

“My wife says Bradley Cooper and I have no idea why she says this. Personally, I would have said Jude Law would be the perfect fit, as I think he is quite a cool English actor who could play the role perfectly”

And finally…confess to something you haven’t told anyone before.

“Now that would be telling…”

Phew, well done James, you certainly worked up a sweat answering that lot!
