The plentiful vitamins and antioxidants contained in fresh fruit certainly does have a positive impact on the health of the skin. In fact, CBS News explains that “eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and omega-3 fatty acids can help skin retain its healthy glow and look youthful.” Red fruits, such as watermelon, strawberries and pink grapefruit, contain lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that protect the skin from sun damage.
