Salted caramel is my most fave flavour ever. I just love, love, love it – I think it’s that whole sweet and salty thing, I’m also a big fan of eating Minstrels with salted popcorn, but come on who isn’t!?! Having reviewed Pulsin raw choc brownies a while back I can tell you now that I’m a fan, so when they bought out a salted caramel one, ummmmmmm hello it’s like all my Christmases have come at once!
If I’m totally honest I wouldn’t necessarily say it tastes of what I would consider to be, but jeez don’t let that put you off because they are flippin’ delicious none the less. Imagine the nuttiest peanut butter turned into raw cookie dough and that right there is the taste sensation that is these brownies. There are all the usual foodie perks that you’d expect from Pulsin…
- Gluten Free
- Soya Free
- Dairy Free
You’re looking at 215 kcals per brownie, which is a bit on the steep side, but if you’re feeling particularly virtuous you could eat half now, half later… let’s face it, that ain’t gonna happen though, is it? 😉 Listen, if you know you’re eating a balanced diet and this stops you necking a Snickers without it even touching the sides then I say go for it.
The best thing is that there are no nasties in them, well unless you’re one of these people who have something against the natural sweetener Xylitol, but I mean really there are more important things to get your knickers in a twist over. We’re talking peanuts, dates, raw chicory, cacao powder and the like, to create a super nutty raw brownie that will blow your gym socks off. In fact they’re so filled with nuts, it’s a definite check your teeth after eating moment (those critters really do get in all the dental nooks and crannies!).
Put simply, if I wolf something down in under a minute (hey I really like my food, what can I say?!?) then I know I’m onto a good thing. Pulsin Salted Caramel Raw Choc Brownie scoffed in 50 seconds flat – don’t judge me!
